Since Longview Asset Management was started in June 2011, the company’s investment performance has been strong and assets under management have grown. To reflect this growth, two new members have recently joined the Longview team.
In July, Kelly Brown joined as an Investment Analyst. Kelly will work closely with Alvin Lau to identify superior investment opportunities. Kelly is a highly successful practitioner of the type of value investing that Longview has always championed.
In August, Doug McCutcheon joined Longview’s Board of Directors. Doug has been an investor in both public and private companies throughout his adult life. Prior to returning to Toronto earlier this year, Doug enjoyed a distinguished 25 year investment banking career with S.G. Warburg and UBS in London, England, most recently as a Managing Director at UBS. Doug has an international perspective, has seen many market cycles and is also a proven team-builder.
